报告人简介：JIANPING FAN，Associate Professor with tenure, Department of Computer Science, University of North Carolina, Charlotte. Research and Teaching Areas: • Image/Video Analysis and Computer Vision; • Statistical Machine Learning; • Multimedia Retrieval and Database Systems. Dr.Fan got many research projets (NSF, AO Foundation, DHS, Department of Homeland Security). And he has in the order of 60 publications in international conferences and journals in these areas. 范建平，北卡罗来纳大学（夏洛特）终身教授，研究领域涉及图像视频数据分析和计算机视觉、机器学习、多媒体检索和数据库系统。曾获美国国家基金等多项科研项目的支持，在国际重要期刊和会议上发表论文60余篇。
